Activity description
Get ready for a day to remember in one of the most beautiful canyoning experiences on the island! Kalami gorge is located on the south coast of the Heraklion prefecture and is about 1.5-hours away from Heraklion city... definitely worth it!
We will arrive at the entrance of the gorge with our vehicles, put on our gear, and have a detailed briefing of its uses. When everybody is feeling ready and confident with the info, we immediately enter the canyon, and at the same time a place totally out of this world!
From the first rappel, we become adventurous explorers, abseiling down to the heart of the earth between steep walls of extraordinary beauty. Surrounded by unique rock formations and colors, bird nests, aromatic herbs and wildflowers... every step is an experience!
After 11 different rappels, we exit the canyon full of dreamy pictures in our cameras and unforgettable memories in our minds! A refreshing swim at the nearby beach and a snack made from local products await us before we head back.
