E-bike tour to the Ancient Acropolis, from Kissamos to Polyrrinia

Enjoy a ride with electric mountain bikes to the Acropolis of the ancient village of Polyrrinia just outside Kissamos.    

Program
We start with a quick introduction to the use of electric mountain bikes. Then we ride from Kissamos center up into the surrounding green hills. Olive trees are everywhere as we pass small villages on the quiet roads. We do the first stop to see the ruins of an old Venetian villa, hidden in the middle of a country village.

As we traverse valleys, the entrance to a local gorge appears before us. Then the road climbs steeply to the top of another village. Thanks to the electric bikes we can adjust the effort we put in, and save some energy to enjoy all the beautiful scenery!

In Polyrrinia, the ride takes us through narrow alleys. We park the bikes next to the Roman aqueduct and explore the village: the wood-carving shop, the rock-cut houses. The view over Kissamos bay from the top, the Holy Father's church, the wheat-threshing circles.

Having stretched our legs, we cycle down the last section on a quiet road back into Kissamos where we started from, where we say goodbye and depart with memories to cherish.
