Activity description

Discover scuba diving in Crete's wonderful underwater world!

The crystal clear waters of Crete are ideal to take your first steps diving and learn how to use the equipment and how to "breathe" underwater. Evelin Divers pay significant attention to detail, and what they really focus on is getting you progressed in diving, always ensuring your safety. Discover Scuba Diving is fun, and no previous diving experience is necessary. 

The dives will take place at Kalivaki Beach in Georgioupolis, a 25-minute drive away from Rethymno. It is rated as one of the top beaches in Crete!

You will be picked up from your hotel at around 8:30 in the morning and brought to the diving centre in Georgioupoli, where you will start with theoretical lessons while having a cup of coffee. During the theoretical lesson, you will learn how to use the equipment and how to move underwater in a safe way. They will also show you how to use signals to communicate with the instructor underwater and how to interact with marine life without disturbing it. 

After this brief, you will get all geared up and you will head to the beach where you will be able to take your first dive from the shore.

This is the best part of the activity.

You will go to a depth of 6 meters and explore colourful reefs, beautiful fishes and many more. The crystal clear waters of Crete and their warm temperature make it pleasant while diving. The activity lasts around 3 to 4 hours.

Under the constant supervision of one of the instructors, the day will begin with an informative briefing on Scuba Diving and the equipment used for children.

Es war fantastisch! Wir wurden vor dem Hotel abgeholt, dort hingefahren, haben eine theoretische Einweisung bekommen und dann ging es los. Der Tauchgang war super.

Une activité sensationnelle, Honey a été notre moniteur durant toute la durée de la plongée. Pour une première initiation il s'agit d'un sans faute. Nous avons eu une excellente expérience en compagnie de Honey qui a fait preuve d'une pédagogie et d'une patience irréprochable, doublé d'un humour très apprécié. Nous recommandons cette activité les yeux fermés pour ceux qui souhaitent découvrir la plongée. Une navette est également proposée pour vous emmener au lieu de RDV et vous ramener proche de votre lieu de résidence.
