Activity Snapshot
Activity description
If you've always wanted to try scuba diving, this is your chance! Don't miss this fun-filled beginner scuba excursion in Split, Croatia! Taking part in this session is a great way to decide whether or not you want to continue on your scuba diving journey towards Open Water Diver Certification.
The experience begins once you've arrived at the Diving Centre, where you'll be greeted by your certified instructor and the amazing Open Water staff. You and your group will then watch an introductory safety and scuba diving theory video. Once this has been completed, it's time to put on your scuba diving gear and head to the 'Home Reef Diving Site' located in front of the Diving Centre, which is conveniently situated in the Radisson Blu Resort.
This picturesque bay is both shallow and sheltered with no currents or waves, just amazing crystal-clear water and an abundance of aquatic life! After you've practised underwater breathing in shallow water, you'll experience the thrill of diving and exploring the Adriatic Sea, among schools of fish, octopus, cuttlefish, and many more! In addition, the seabed is sandy and is dotted with many different small reefs. Perfect for underwater discovery!
Please note that this activity is not a course, it is a beginner scuba diving session. At the end of this session, you will receive an SSI diploma certifying that you have tried scuba diving. However, it does not qualify you to dive by yourself or rent equipment. But if you've fallen in love with scuba diving after the excursion, this session counts as a training dive if you wish to enrol in the Open Water Diver Certification Course.
