Quad Biking under the Northern Lights in Rovaniemi

Rovaniemi is the largest city of Lapland, located in northern Finland. The area features stunning natural landscapes, including snowy forests, mountains and frozen lakes. Finnish Lapland is situated in the heart of the "Aurora Zone," making it possible to witness this rare natural occurrence regularly. 

This quad bike tour takes place after sunset, when Lapland is engulfed in darkness. You will start by meeting your guide at the base camp in Rovaniemi (pickup is available within a 15km driving distance). The experienced guide will teach you how to ride the ATV and give you a safety briefing. Quad bikes will be driven in pairs (twin riding), with one driver and one passenger and the opportunity to switch midway. Once you are set up on the bike and have your equipment, the adventure begins!

The expert guide will show you the greatest snow-covered routes in the heart of the Arctic wilderness. You will ride past snowy trails and the wild untouched nature. Away from the harsh lights of the city, you will have the best chance of witnessing the amazing Aurora Borealis.  While waiting for the spectacular Northern Lights to appear, explore the starry sky for notable constellations. 

Midway through the excursion, you will stop to admire the dancing lights. Hot blueberry juice and traditional gingerbread snacks will be served for you to enjoy while you warm up. The guide will share some insights with you about life in the Arctic wilderness and stories about the ancient Northern Lights. After, you will venture back through the Lappish landscape before returning to Rovaniemi.
