Discover caving in the heart of the Ermitage cave, right next to the Gorges de Galamus in the Aude!
With no technical difficulties, the Ermitage cave is an ideal site for those who would like to learn about caving with their family or friends! You will be able to discover the underground world thanks to various activities: 2 descents on a 4 and 5 metre rope, climbing passages, handrails, a small ladder climb, the visit of large rooms with various concretions (stalagmites, stalactites and draperies), playful passages and opposition games. All this in the company of an experienced caving instructor who is passionate about caving!
The Ermitage cave is located on the border between the Aude and Pyrénées-Orientales departments, in the heart of the Gorges de Galamus. So if you take half a day to go caving in the Ermitage cave, don't hesitate to spend the other half of your day discovering canyoning in the Gorges de Galamus!

Course of events
- Welcome and equipment: 25 min
- Approach walk: 10 min
- Underground exploration: 2 hours depending on the audience
- Return walk: 10 min
- Time to discuss and debrief the adventure: 30 min
In total, 3 hours of caving activity!

You must not have any medical contraindication to the practice of caving.
