Activity description
Go on a backcountry skiing trip and learn to freeride skiing or snowboarding with former professional skiers in Val Thorens, French Alps.
If you are staying in Europe's highest ski resort and you are a good skier on red runs, the instructors of the Val Thorens Ski Instructor school offer you a 2-3 hours or full day ski touring excursion on the most beautiful off-piste routes!
Amélie, Quentin, and Jérémy grew up in the 3 Vallées, so they know perfectly the off-piste itineraries of the ski area. They will be happy to share with you their passion and their experience (more than 15 years of teaching).
Situated in a wide natural cirque overlooked by 6 glaciers, Val Thorens offers a multitude of itineraries so you can ride in the sunshine all day long! The morning and the afternoon the excursions last 3 hours (9am or 2pm), or 2hrs from 12pm to 2pm. You can also choose a full day ski touring trip from approx. 9am to 5pm.
The safety gear is included (avalanche transceiver, shovel, and probe) and if you wish, you will be trained in search of snow avalanche victims.
