Take your first steps in canyoning at the Saint-Auban canyon, 30 minutes from Castellane and 1.5 hrs from Nice!
As its name suggests, the Saint-Auban canyon is located in the municipality of the same name, in the Alpes-Maritimes. This watery, fun-filled canyon is the ideal place to cool off in the summer, but it's also a great way to try out canyoning in a fun and exciting way!
Just an hour and a half's drive from Nice on the French Riviera, the Saint-Auban canyon is a little corner of paradise for lovers of outdoor sporting activities. The canyon is very steep and offers a succession of obstacles that will leave you no time to get bored! Jumps (unavoidable), slides, unclimbs, swimming in fresh water, etc. Whether you're a canyoning beginner or not, nothing is overwhelming in the Saint-Auban canyon!

If you want to try your hand at canyoning near Nice or Castellane, you know where to go!
- Meet at the parking lot of the Clue where you will meet your guide.
- An approach walk of about 10 minutes will take you to the beginning of the Clue of Saint-Auban where you will fine-tune your canyoning equipment and have a safety briefing.
- Descent of the Saint-Auban canyon with a succession of jumps, slides, descents and rope crossings.
- Picnic break at the end of the canyon.
- Return walk of about 20 minutes.
It is necessary to be able to swim and to be in good physical condition for this canyon.
