Activity description

Share a thrilling adventure with your family or friends thanks to this rafting activity in the Verdon gorges from Castellane!

From the age of 6 in summer, come and enjoy a fun and sporting experience in the Verdon gorges! Enjoy the magnificent scenery as you explore the Verdon by raft in a team of 4 to 8 people. Accompanied by a state-qualified guide, you'll be in ideal conditions to discover this refreshing and sensational sport!

You will meet your guide at the base, where you will be equipped with a suitable wetsuit, life jacket and helmet. You will then go to the starting point of the rafting trip by minibus before being briefed on the activity. Then it will be time to get on board! Go for a discovery trip or a classic trip and enjoy rafting in the Verdon gorges! Thanks to the advice and guidance of your experienced guide, you will quickly learn to navigate and be able to enjoy the sensations and the scenery easily. At the end of the activity, the minibus will take you back to the base, where you can debrief with the instructor, return the equipment and, if you fancy it, have a drink with your group!

You will be rafting from Castellane to Rougon, along the first 21 kilometres of the Gorges. Castellane is a charming, picturesque village and the starting point for many rafting trips on the Verdon. This itinerary takes you through Europe's largest canyon, taking in the breathtaking scenery and turquoise waters for which the Verdon Gorge is famous!

- Briefing

- Descent into the Verdon (about 1h15)

- Return to the base by minibus

- Debriefing and de-equipping at the base

- End of the activity and opportunity to enjoy cold drinks at the base (not included in the price)

Activity requirements

You must be able to swim (at least 25 metres) to take part in this activity.

You must not have any medical contraindications to rafting.

Special terms

It is strongly recommended that you do not take any personal items such as jewellery, watches or wallet with you.

To get to the meeting point: park in the free Salle des Fêtes car park (public toilets available) then walk 200 metres to the Action Aventure base - on leaving the car park, walk past the Frédéric Mistral campsite, then under the bridge to find the base on the left, opposite the Les Lavandes campsite.

This activity depends on the weather and the EDF dam. If the planned water activity is not possible, Action Aventure will offer you an alternative water activity (rafting, canoe rafting or water trekking). You will not be able to refuse the replacement activity unless the reason is disability or some other factor that could prevent the activity from being changed.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Leider hat der Instructor den Sprung vom Felsen vergessen. Leider ist der Fluss in der Hauptsaison sehr ūberlaufen. Ein Boot folgt dem Anderen.
