Activity description

Come and discover the boat trip and snorkeling with whales and dolphins around Moorea!

Departing from your hotel, you will discover the incredible fauna and flora of French Polynesia during a unique sea excursion with Moorea Expedition. Whether it's for a half-day or a full day, you will have the pleasure of sailing on the Moorea lagoon, but also off the island where you can observe dolphins, as well as whales in season!

During this boat trip, you will not only have the opportunity to observe these beautiful animals, but also to swim alongside them. These snorkeling breaks in Moorea will allow you to meet whales (in season), dolphins, rays, but also turtles in an idyllic underwater landscape. And for those who are less comfortable in the water, it is possible to stay on board the boat to observe the animals, but also to listen to the whales' song via a hydrophone.

Activity requirements

There are no prerequisites to observe from the boat. However, for snorkeling, it is necessary to know how to swim well, to be in good physical condition and to be comfortable in the water.

For the launch, the minimum age required is 7 years old.

L'activité était incroyable, nous avons eu la chance de trouver les baleines rapidement (à la sortie du lagon) et de pouvoir les approcher à la nage. On a eu droit à plusieurs saut des baleines comme on a pu photographier. L'activité est décrite comme tranquille et accessible à tous. Attention, toutefois, il faut savoir bien nager et vite (pour suivre les baleines) et ne pas avoir peur de se jeter dans le grand bleu !

C’est bien la période où il faut venir voir ces animaux mais ce n’est pas si simple car l’océan est vaste. Nous les avons approché mais vu de loin. L équipe est compétente et connais bien le biologie Marine.
