Offering impressive aerial views of the island, this scenic flight offers uninterrupted views of French Polynesia’s most popular island. Starting with a short safety briefing and kit breakdown, it only takes a few steps before the South Pacific winds catch the parachute and you start to ascend. From here, your pilot is in total control, allowing you to hang back in the harness and enjoy the views across the Matatia Valley and out towards Punaauia lagoon.
Unlike other aerial experiences, paragliding is totally powered by updraft, allowing you to enjoy the peace & quiet of the island without engine background noise. As you glide softly along the shoreline, your pilot will explain more about the island and its famous reef – helping you spot marine life along the coast, even witnessing pods of dolphins, and even whales (during the season) on the horizon. After a full tour of the mountain range & the lagoon, you will touch down on Atiue Beach where your return transport will be waiting at the parking to take you back to your accommodation.
