Course of events

Welcome aboard!

Day 1

You will meet at the designated meeting point at about 8:30 am the first day, for a boat tour with all the necessary instructions you need to know. After you settle in your cabins, you will set sail to your first destination, Aegina Island, famous for its pistachios.

On your way there, you’ll make a stop at the tiny uninhabited island of Moni. There, you can enjoy swimming & snorkeling in the turquoise crystal clear waters or go hiking through its pristine pine forest and come across beautiful deer and peacocks! You can also enjoy a coffee or ouzo (Greek aperitif) at the only tavern on the island, while the crew prepares a delicious lunch meal for you!

In the afternoon, you will reach the port of Aegina, where you will be free to visit Aegina town, walk through its alleys with the charming shops or alongside the picturesque port, admire the beautiful neoclassical buildings and enjoy a cup of iced coffee. The Temple of Apollo at the archaeological site of Kolona, which lies at a walking distance from the port and the Archaeological Museum are not to be missed.

Later, You can enjoy your dinner in one of the coastal restaurants and also enjoy drinks in one of Aegina’s numerous bars along the port!

Tips: do not forget to buy some fresh fruits and vegetables from the floating groceries (traditional boats in the port selling fruits & vegetables), or local pistachios!

Day 2

The second day, after enjoying breakfast on board, you will take an exciting tour in Aegina inland and explore some of its hidden gems!

You will first visit the impressive Monastery of Saint Nektarios, one of the biggest of the Balkans. If you put your ear to Saint Nektarios’s tomb, you can hear the sound of his feet tapping. Behind the monastery lies the island’s Mystras and also former capital, Paleachora. You will follow the hiking trails to explore this abandoned “ghost town” with its numerous Byzantine churches and enjoy the panoramic views over the Saronic Gulf.

Your next stop, before returning to the boat, will be the temple of Aphaea, located on a pine – clad hill at the northeast side of the island. It is the most important monument in the sanctuary of Aphaea, dating back to 500 BC.

In the afternoon you will sail away to the small verdant island of Agkistri, known as the closest to Athens natural paradise. You’ll enjoy the rest of our day diving from the boat, swimming and relaxing in this pristine landscape. Dinner on board will complement your day.

Day 3

The third and last day, you will relax and enjoy the serene landscape of pine trees touching the crystal clear waters of the Saronic Gulf. In the morning, you will be free for swimming and snorkeling in some of the island’s secluded beaches.

You will also anchor at the magnificent uninhabited island of Dorousa, where you can discover, while snorkeling or diving, the shipwreck of the 79m long Avantis III, lying at 18m depth!

Finally, you will reach Athens (Kalamaki marina) in the evening, where your wonderful sailing adventure ends.
