Mykonos is an amazing spot to discover the scuba diving experience for the first time or to expand your knowledge with a certification course by PADI. It doesn't matter if you have never dived before, you can get your first certificate with Mykonos Diving Centre and be a certified diver, able to dive all around the world. With PADI your diving passion comes true with a few easy steps.
The Open Water Certificate
The Open Water program is an entry level certification course in scuba diving. This exciting programme includes some academic study in the areas of diving physics, physiology, medicine, environment and dive safety. You can complete the theoretical part online via the PADI platform.
Additionally, in the classroom which is conveniently located in front of the beach, you will have a minimum of 12 training hours in shallow water and 5 open water dives are required with emphasis placed on physical fitness, diving hazards, personal limitations and how to behave underwater to stay safe as a diver.
This can be accomplished over a period of 4 days, in an intensive, private program which includes 2 theory lessons and 2 dives daily. Open Water graduates will be competent in basic open water diving activities and will receive a certification card.

Who Should take The Open Water Scuba Diver Program?
People who are comfortable in the water and wish to pursue diving as a recreation or potential career. The open water certification is the heart and soul of every diving program and your key to the diving world wherever you go for holiday to depths of 18 metres. The minimum age to enroll is 12 years old.
The Advanced Open Water Certificate
The Advanced Open Water Course by PADI is an introduction, in more detail than Open Water Training, to the new dimensions of diving. A major advantage of this course is to be able to confidently dive in local waters under various conditions. You will find new dive buddies, local diving "hot spots" and increase your diving experience. The Advanced course will open your eyes to natural navigation, compass navigation, night diving, search and light salvage diving, deep diving, plus much more.
After the Advanced Open Water you will be a fully certified diver, able to dive all around the world in depths of 30 metres.
