Join a beginner or intermediate windsurfing course in Ixia Bay, next to the city of Rhodes.
Rhodes is a Greek island located in the Aegean Sea. The windsurfing centre is situated in Ixia Bay, on the west coast of the island, which is renowned for the steady cross-shore winds during the summer months. The wind is a light, smooth breeze in the morning getting stronger during the afternoon hours, creating the best conditions for every level of windsurfer. The waters here are also clear and warm. For your chosen course, you will meet the qualified instructor at the starting point at Ixia Bay in Rhodes. If you are a beginner in windsurfing and you wish to take the first steps, then the beginner windsurfing lessons are ideal for you (maximum 3 students per group or take a private course). Choose the duration of the course and know that you will have lots of fun getting into windsurfing. Beginners have their own spot on the beach so that you have all the space you need for your first steps. First, you will learn basic theory on the beach simulator, learn how to maneuver the board, and how to control the sail. The waters are exceptionally safe, as they are rock and reef-free, without any dangerous currents.
Intermediate courses are also provided in private by fully qualified instructors, using the most up-to-date teaching methods including videos and jet ski assistance. Choose the duration for your course and learn how to perfect your windsurfing technique from the guides. All of the windsurfing equipment is included, carbon boards and high-performance booms and masts. Once you are finished with the course, grab a beer and enjoy the sunset relaxing in the sunbeds of the watersports centre.
