Take group or private windsurfing lessons at the amazing Theologos Beach in Rhodes, suitable for windsurfers of all levels.
Rhodes is a beautiful Greek island situated in the Dodecanese group in the Aegean Sea. It is a fascinating destination with a rich history, stunning landscapes, and beautiful beaches. Theologos Beach is located on the northwestern coast of Rhodes. This beach is a hidden gem, with the Meltem wind and warm water temperatures creating ideal windsurfing conditions!
For this activity, you can choose from different lengths of lessons depending on your preferences! You can pick a private lesson for personalised attention or a small group lesson with 2-4 participants. To begin, you'll arrive at the starting point at Theologos Beach and meet the certified instructor. They will provide a safety briefing and go through the windsurfing equipment. For beginners, you'll start with the theory and practice on the beach, before heading out to the crystal-clear waters!
This spot is adapted to people of all levels from beginners to advanced level windsurfers. The water at Theologos is rather flat making it ideal for beginners. Not only that but the wind blows side-shore and side-on, again providing the perfect learning environment for windsurfing novices, as the wind always carries you towards the beach making it safer to practice. The regular winds blow gently in the morning between 10–15 knots and pick up in the afternoon to 20-27 knots.
The instructor will adapt the lesson to your level. Beginners will learn all the basic techniques for windsurfing, including an introduction to the equipment, safety, turning and free-sailing. Intermediate/advanced level windsurfers will perfect their skills and techniques using the know-how and personalised advice from the instructor. At the end of the lesson, you'll return to the starting point at Theologos Beach.
