Spend the day exploring Santorini’s coastline from Perivolos Beach on your own rented comfortable motor boat! No license is needed to drive this type of boat and you can freely cruise around Santorini, the Volcanoes, Thirassia and Aspronisi.
Perivolos Beach is a popular beach in Santorini known for its unique black sand, crystal-clear waters and lively atmosphere. Santorini is a Greek island located in the Cyclades group in the Aegean Sea. Taking a boat trip from Perivolos Beach can be a fantastic way to explore the stunning coastline of Santorini and nearby islands!
For this activity, you'll rent and captain the boat yourself, giving you privacy and the chance to choose your own route around Santorini. You'll start by meeting at the starting point at Perivolos Beach. An instructor will be there to show you to your “Optima 490 ” by Nireus Boats. A combination of manoeuvrability and comfort, you'll be surprised how easy it is for you to get the hang of it even if you’ve never driven a boat before.
The boat is equipped with a cooler of snacks and soft drinks, WiFi, GPS, a Bluetooth sound system to play music, as well as all of the essential safety equipment (flares, life jackets) and snorkelling equipment. After going through the basics of driving the boat, you're free to set sail! The boat holds a maximum of 6 passengers, perfect for groups of family or friends.
Once out in the open water, you'll be able to discover the island's hard-to-access beaches and bask in the sun on the comfortable bow of the boat. Admire the dramatic cliffs, volcanic formations, and charming villages that dot the shoreline, and take in panoramic views of the Aegean Sea. You can stop at some scenic coves and bays to enjoy swimming in the turquoise waters or snorkelling to explore the magnificent underwater world.
You could explore nearby islands such as Thirassia or the uninhabited island of Aspronisi. A visit to the volcanic islands of Nea Kameni and Palea Kameni is also a possibility, where you can soak in natural hot springs, said to have healing properties. The exact itinerary is up to you, and you can choose from 2 to 4 hours of cruising! At the end of your adventure, you'll return the boat to the starting point at Perivolos Beach.
