Skiathos Island is the perfect place to complete the most popular diving course in the world. The experienced instructors will guide you through the whole process. The courses offered are the open water and advanced open water diving courses.

With the Open Water Diving certification, you will be qualified to dive anywhere in the world to 18 metres. We deliver this course over 3-5 days (depending on your schedule) and in small groups to give you maximum interaction with your instructor. It includes 5 confined water, and 4 open water dives. This course is taught via an easy-to-use eLearning program that lets you learn at your own pace either before you come on holiday or whilst you are here.

Activity requirements

Anyone who's in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn the Open Water certificate.

Special terms

If you do not have transport, we can provide a shuttle service to bring you to our school in Agios Antonios, Skiathos to do the Discover Scuba Diving. Our Dive boat operates from various locations around the Island so we can depart from beaches close to where you are staying.

T-shirts, photos and videos can be purchased at an additional cost.

PADI requires you to be at least 10 years old to become a PADI-certified Junior
Open Water Scuba Diver. Ten and 11-year-olds must dive with a certified parent,
guardian or PADI Professional to a maximum depth of 12 metres.

Advanced Open Water Diving Course

The Advanced Open Water course is designed to enhance your diving skills whilst gaining supervised experience. It consists of five open water dives in specialist diving areas including *Deep, *Search & Rescue, *Peak Performance Buoyancy, *Wreck and *Navigation. Upon completion, you will be qualified to dive to 30 meters in conditions similar to or better than those you were trained in. The theory is done via online Advanced eLearning. You will be required to read and complete the sections relevant to the dives you are taking before your dives. We, therefore, recommend you do this before you come on holiday.
