Admire the whales in Iceland in the sublime natural setting of the Eyjafjörður fjord on an excursion from Akureyri!
On the way to Iceland's circular route, Akureyri is the ideal stop-off for whale watching in northern Iceland. Aboard a spacious, fast boat, you will set off on a cruise through the Eyjafjörður fjord in search of whales, as well as other cetaceans that can be seen here, such as porpoises and white-nosed dolphins. Not only are the chances of seeing cetaceans high, but you can also enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Eyjafjörður fjord, one of the longest in the country!
With commentary by enthusiastic guides, this whale-watching excursion in the Eyjafjörður fjord will teach you a lot about these impressive marine mammals, making it an interesting outing for young and old alike! You will be protected throughout the cruise in specially designed cold and wet overalls, allowing you to enjoy the outing in comfort.

- Meeting with the team next to the Hof Cultural and Conference Centre base 15 minutes before the start of the activity
- Fitting of waterproof safety overalls and life jackets at the base
- Briefing on the activity and safety instructions
- Board the boat and set off for a 2.5-hour excursion
- Return to base, de-equip and end the activity
