6-Day Ski Touring Expedition to the Peaks of Siglufjörður from Reykjavik

Meet your guide at Reykjavik Domestic Airport to depart on an epic 6-day skiing trip in the Northern peaks of Iceland! Flights and accommodation included.

This trip will begin by flying your entire group over to Akureyri, the second biggest town in Iceland, and shuttling you over to the small fisherman's town of Siglufjörður. This charming town will be your base for the week, comfortably lodged in the boutique hotel Sigló right on the waterfront.

Then, you will embark on 6 days of skiing, starting straight away on day 1. Every day, your guide will drive you in a 4x4 to different locations in the vicinity to ski down each of the area's most iconic spots, including the Troll Peninsula, Dalvík, Héðinsfjorður. With at least 5 hours of skiing per day, this week is sure to put your stamina to the test on the gorgeous seaside slopes of Northern Iceland. When your legs start to ache with the day's exercise in the snow, you will be happy to return to the hotel in Siglufjörður to relax in their sauna and hot tub overlooking the sea. 

Every day, you will also have opportunities to wind down and discover the regional culture. For those who wish to take a break from the slopes, the guide has allotted time in each of the spots you will travel to so that you can visit museums, relax in outdoor swimming pools, and generally explore the areas on foot. Of course, for the insatiable ski fanatics, this can always be traded in for more time in the snow. 

Northern Iceland is a top destination, not only for its perfect ski conditions overlooking dramatic fjords and charming villages but also for its added quality of being one of the rare parts of Iceland in which one can see the Northern Lights.
