Whale-Watching Excursion departing from Reykjavik

Course of events

- Arrive at the meeting point 30 minutes early
- Meet the team, welcome, borrow equipment and board the boat
- Departure for a 3-hour excursion
- Stage 1: Kollafjöður, view of the mountains and islands surrounding Reykjavik
- Stage 2: Faxaflói Bay
- Observation of whales, other marine animals and birds
- Return to the port and end of the excursion

Activity requirements

Please arrive at 30 minutes before the start of the activity.

A parental authorisation is required for minors to take part in this activity.

Special terms

Children under 6 years old are free of charge.

Humpback whales usually make their appearance from April to October as this is the high season, yet the crew offers trips all the year-round. During other months, you might be able to see many other aquatic species that the ocean offers on these amazing trips.

If you don't see a whale, you have the option to take the tour again for free.

Please be aware that due to environmental reasons during certain times of the year the trips may be delivered on a shared boat with one of the provider's partners. The team is committed to ensuring the environment is kept pristine by making sure fewer boats are on the water during slower periods.

📍About pick-ups :

Pick-ups must be booked a minimum of one hour before the tour's departure time, all pick-ups booked after that will be discarded.

Pickup service (round trip) fee applies to first boat tour, if due to lack of sightings tour is joined for free again, pickup service must be added and paid again.

If you chose the pickup service, pickup starts 60 minutes prior to the departure. Please be ready at the pickup point at this time.

• Good footwear
