Meet your guide on the banks of the Shannon River for this SUP lesson in Limerick. Suitable for all ages and abilities, SUP is a traditional Hawaiian sport which promotes balance, strength and general fitness. Start off by perfecting your basic stand-up paddle boarding skills on a flat water session in the protected waters behind the historical Hunt Museum.  Once you've got the balancing aspect down, the real adventure begins – travelling to King John’s Castle, a 13th-century castle located on King's Island in Limerick. This activity operates during the summer season (May - September) from the Hunt Museum. Lessons are organised according to weather factors that include tides and winds. SUP'ing is a low impact exercise and can be enjoyed by anyone, wherever there is water.
