Learn to skydive solo with an Accelerated Freefall (AFF) course and discover the mythical Bay of Islands with its 144 islands and its amazing blue sky!
The Bay of Islands is extremely popular in New Zealand due to its beauty and history. It is truly magnificent, with 144 islands, amazing weather and the second bluest sky in the world!
The Accelerated Freefall (AFF) Program is designed to teach you how to skydive efficiently and safely, with some of the most experienced instructors in New Zealand. Through a combination of theory and practical jumps, you'll be taken through a progression program that will test your skills in a range of areas, in freefall and under your parachute.
You'll assimilate all the skills required to be able to skydive solo, learning comprehensive skills for flying your body and piloting your parachute. Upon completion of the AFF skydive training program, you'll be able to skydive on your own.
The SOLO SKYDIVE Package (AFF Levels 1- 8) represents the first 8 levels in your "learning to skydive" adventure. The course includes practical ground training, covering everything you need to know about your first solo freefall and parachute flight. Successful completion of these levels will see you being able to skydive unassisted.
Throughout the course, Skydive Bay of Islands will use digital video as a tool to debrief your skydives. It's a great learning tool but also a great souvenir – you can take your videos home with you once you complete the programme!
AFF courses run first Saturday of every month. They last approx. 4 days (8 hours theory).
Customers under 18 years of age require signed consent from their parent or guardian.
If you have any pre-existing medical conditions that may affect your ability to skydive, please seek professional medical advice prior to jumping.
People who have gone Scuba diving in the last 24 hours can not go Skydiving due to the changes in pressure.
