Activity description
Soar through the skies while paragliding over stunning wintery views of Coronet Peak and Queenstown.
This activity begins with a friendly and highly qualified team leader explaining all you need to know to make the most out of your paragliding experience. After a safety briefing, you will be harnessed into a comfortable front row seat! Now just a few steps down a gentle slope and you will slowly find yourself flying into the open skies. Flying freely over the snow capped mountains is a feeling like no other! Your experienced pilot will be taking control behind you. You can expect gorgeous views over the chilly Lake Wakatipu and the smaller nearby Lake Hayes, complete with a great sense of accomplishment upon landing.
Known as the “original” ski resort area, Coronet Peak is only about 25 minutes from Queenstown. As one of New Zealand’s most popular ski resorts, it is no wonder this area boasts incredible scenery. During the winter paragliding is a thrilling way to soar like an eagle and soak in all of Coronet's stunning surroundings.
The average flight time in winter on the paraglider is 15-20 mins.
