This thrilling climb takes place at 650 metres (2,132 feet) above sea level, offering amazing panoramic views. Perfect for those with previous climbing experience that are seeking a physical challenge.
After you've met your guide at the Norwegian Mountaineering Centre, you'll be given your equipment, which includes a harness, a via Ferrata sling, and helmet. In addition, participants can choose between bringing their own rubber/ garden gloves or purchasing them for 55 NOK at the centre. Shoes are also available to rent at a fee of 190NOK.
Once you and your group have been given a safety and equipment briefing, you'll head off on a short walk (30 minutes) uphill and through the woods towards the via Ferrata course. Upon arrival, your instructor will check the equipment and give another briefing. Then, the real adventure begins! The climb will take approximately 3-4.5 hours and is labelled as a Grade D: very difficult. Throughout the excursion, the breaks will be adjusted to participants' needs and there are several viewpoints that are ideal for a rest and a snack while taking in the incredible mountainous panorama. At the end of the climb, you can choose between walking back to the city or taking the cable car (at an additional fee of 360 NOK per person).
