Activity description
Learn to ski at your own pace at Røldal Skiresort - our classes are sorted by level, suitable for all ages, and available both in groups and private sessions! Feel free to book several consecutive days to maximize your progress during your stay.
We do not provide skis or ski-lift tickets in the lesson. Please make sure you have these at the ready before coming to meet us (if you need to rent your skis, allow yourself 30 minutes prior to the lesson to get geared up at the shop).
At the start of the session, you will be introduced to your instructor, and discuss the main goals for the day. Then, you will make your way up the station together to begin the lesson. For those new to skiing, a lesson could involve learning to handle your skis, brake, and glide on the smaller slopes. For those with a bit of experience to their names, you might head to more challenging slopes to perfect parallel skiing, pole work, and speed.
The session will be tailored to the abilities of the group, so have fun! Our qualified instructors will make sure to keep it safe and instructive for all.
Our lessons are also available in private 1:1 sessions with an instructor - we particularly recommend this for young skiers under 7 years old, but it's also an option for those who wish to receive more focused attention!
Perfect for people who have never been skiing before, those who need a refresher, or who cannot fully stop or slow down.
In this beginner's course, we play around with how to handle the skis, including gliding, braking, swinging, and using the lift on the easiest slopes.
