Activity description

Experience Lofoten’s majestic Trollfjord and its white-tailed eagles in peaceful comfort on board a purpose-built hybrid-electric ship. Welcoming adventurers of all ages on the family-friendly excursion!

This trip takes place from Svolvær, a town located on the island of Austvågøya in the Lofoten archipelago. It is a charming and picturesque destination that offers a mix of outdoor adventures and cultural experiences for visitors. This is an ideal location for discovering the Norwegian wildlife!

The trip begins at the meeting point in Svolvær, where the guides will welcome you aboard the hybrid-electric ship, which is specially designed for sightseeing with limited disturbance to the ecosystem. The silent motor enables an enjoyable sightseeing experience for all. Onboard you can purchase a variety of drinks, warm lunches, sandwiches or pastries from the cafe while enjoying the views. Once everyone is on board (a maximum capacity of 130 passengers), the cruise begins!

Departing from Svolvær, you will sail for an hour along the dramatic scenery of Lofoten to reach the renowned Trollfjord. Take in the beautiful nature from the warm lounges with panoramic windows and multi-level decks while the friendly crew share stories about the wildlife, history and fishing culture that is traditional to the locals of Lofoten. Along the way to Trollfjord, you will cruise through traditional Norwegian fishing villages, before being rewarded with breathtaking and magnificent views of steep mountains dropping straight into the fjord.

As you charter through the beautiful Norwegian water, you will spot an array of wildlife. White-tailed eagles will fly overhead, soaring against the backdrop of this stunning coastal landscape. Along the way, and if conditions allow, your experienced guide will launch their underwater drone so that you can also discover life in the mysterious depths of this fjord. Rich kelp forests, Arctic fish, and even some marine mammals may be spotted through the lens of this drone. After the educational experience, you will return to the starting point in Svolvær.
