On this unique snowmobile trip, glide through the snow valleys and mountains of Svalbard as they are painted pastel blue and pink by the slow rising Spring-time sun.
The remote island of Svalbard, located midway between the North Pole and Norway, offers plethora of wildlife and mineral marvels all year long. On this unique snowmobile trip, you will discover the stunning landscape and beautiful wilderness of this magical place in the Spring. In Svalbard, the months of March and April mark the end of darkness and the beginning of a period of beautiful pastel blues and pinks spreading across the snow and sky. Come in this season to witness spectacular serene scenes in the magical Blue Light of the Arctic.
On your individual or tandem snowmobile, you will explore different spots in the Arctic wilderness. One of these is Mount Hiorthfjellet, which you will drive up in order to reach a viewpoint that offers breathtaking views over the vast Isfjord and the city of Longyearbyen.
Along the adventure, you will visit a cosy cabin hidden in the valley. Enjoy an authentic three-course dinner and warm up in front of the fireplace in the middle of the undisturbed nature of Svalbard. Once you feel energized again, you will drive to the 30-kilometre long valley of Adventdalen.
Your personal guides during this trip will decide on the perfect route for the day. They will make sure you will get an authentic nature trip in the Arctic and can fully enjoy the colourful spectacle on the ice.
Wearing a base layer in 100% wool, a mid-layer in wool, down or fleece and thick wool socks is highly recommended. In addition, it is possible to bring a small backpack.
A physical valid driver’s license is compulsory.
The minimum required age for drivers is 18. The minimum required age for passengers is 12.
Special terms
You can choose to purchase an optional snowmobile insurance policy for NOK 200 from the guide of this activity. With this option, you will be insured in any case of accident. If you wish to share a snowmobile as a driver and passenger, you only need insurance for one person.
This guide has 6 snowmobiles available. In case you are booking as a group, please be aware that there can be only 6 drivers. Each snowmobile can fit the driver and passenger. The driver and passenger can switch through during the activity.
