Cruise through the Arctic fjords while watching the sky dance above you thanks to this wonderful Northern Lights sailing excursion in Tromsø!
Pukka Travel is very passionate about the Northern Lights and will do everything they can to provide you with the most memorable experience while waiting for the sky to start dancing in the sky above you.
There are many ways to enjoy nature's best light show, but the best is to combine it with a warm, comfortable cruise through the fjords surrounding Tromsø. The city is known as one of the best places in the world to watch the Northern Lights, also known as Aurora Borealis.
The scenery surrounding Tromsø is breathtaking during the daytime, but sailing in the dark under a clear starry sky with the opportunity to witness the Northern Lights is something very unique and special that only a small selection of explorers get to experience.
The skippers and guides have the knowledge and first hand experience to keep you safe and comfortable while enjoying the dancing night sky. After hundreds of sailing tours in the area, Pukka Travel has found the best spots in which you will have the highest chances to see the lights. Your skipper will also navigate to different areas depending on the weather forecast.
Witnessing the Northern Lights from the sea is a lifetime experience you will never forget!
The tour takes place from 9 pm to 00:30 am and includes:
– Guided cruising tour on board a luxurious catamaran
– Small bites, Espresso coffee, a wide variety of premium tea, and hot chocolate

Meet us at our base 5-10 minutes before the departure time.
We serve a hot fish soup onboard the boat, but please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions and we will make sure to provide an alternative that suits your needs.
Activity requirements
Pukka provides warm safety suits for all their activities, however, it is recommended to always bring clothes that can handle the winter climate. In the coldest peaks of the winter, season temperatures can drop as low as – 20°C / -4°F.
