Activity description
This full day hiking itinerary will help you discover the island and its authentic beauty. As your guide is an expert in the Reunionese environment, you will also benefit from the full extent of his knowledge: a real advantage if you want to know more about the Réunion Island's ecosystem!
After driving along the legendary 400-curve road you will arrive in Cilaos, a village perched at 1 200 meters where lentils and vines are grown, in the heart of the Réunion National Park. This hiking loop starting from Cilaos allows access to several waterfalls and basins of the Cirque de Cilaos, some of which are kept secret by connoisseurs.
You will discover the famous Bras Rouge valley, a veritable temple of canyoning in Réunion Island, where ferruginous waters have gushed out and delighted curists since the end of the 19th century. A few high points will allow you to see the crater of the Piton des Neiges, extinct for more than 12,000 years.
You will also be able to enjoy a swim in the pure waters of the Piton des Neiges to finish this beautiful day of hiking, before returning to the village of Cilaos to taste some local products.

Enjoy a full day hike from Cilaos to the Bras Rouge valley and its waterfalls and back to Cilaos.
You will cross a magnificent forest with a thousand colours, touch and feel the wilderness of the island and get to discover hidden places known only by your guide.
You will leave early to avoid the clouds and enjoy magnificent backdrops in the morning sun.
