Trou Blanc is a super fun and aquatic canyon in the heart of the Cirque de Salazie, don't hesitate for a second and discover its lush vegetation and breathtaking waterfalls!
This canyon mainly includes slides that you can take on your back or head first and jumps up to 8 metres high is you feel a bit reckless! It's all pure happiness!
Don't panic if you're not completely comfortable, you can always pass the obstacles at your own pace and avoid the jumps, the canyon remains accessible to all.
THE example of a fun canyoning, its particularity definitely is the many slides you'll get to ride! In the canyon of Trou Blanc, there are no vertical drops, it is mostly aquatic and made for a blissful moment!
You will begin the canyon with a walk of 45 minutes to warm up.
You put on the wetsuits and you're off for a first abseil followed directly by the mega tube slide!
You go from slide to slide with short periods of walking and swimming in between.
You will take a break for lunch after a last 5 metres high jump (not mandatory).
After a short walk you are in for another aquatic part which leads you to the accelerator (a crazy slide!) and to the final zipline of 40 metres.
The Cirque de Salazie is located east of the island and therefore is the one with the rainiest days. You will find green landscapes with a bunch of waterfalls to have fun in! The Mat river, where you'll follow Trou Blanc, crosses the Cirque and plunges into the ocean in St André.
You're off for a full day in the canyon of Trou Blanc. The day usually starts around 8 am and you'll be back in the village between 3/4 pm.
Approach walk: 45 minutes
Canyoning time: 5 hours
Return walk: 10 minutes
All participants must know how to swim.
It is recommanded that you don't have a strong fear of heights for this activity.
