Conquer Slovenia’s highest mountain in this beautiful and thrilling climbing and via ferrata adventure to the top of Mount Triglav in the Julian Alps. You can choose between a more challenging 1-day climbing adventure or a more relaxing 2-day excursion with an overnight stay in a mountain hut.

Join professional local guides, who will lead you all the way up to the top of Mount Triglav at a height of 2,864 meters. The guides are certified by the Slovenian Mountain Guiding Association and will make sure that you are safe at all times during your climbing and via ferrata challenge. They will explain to you how to use the safety equipment properly and put you on a short rope. Therefore, you can feel comfortable and enjoy the incredible scenery of this sacred place. 

This most famous ascent in Slovenia is popular among both locals as well as visitors. It is not only known for its altitude, but also for its symbolism of national identity among Slovenian people. Since the 18th century, hikers, climbers and nature lovers are conquering the summit of the highest peak of the country to marvel at spectacular panoramic views of the astonishing Triglav National Park, the Adriatic Sea and the crystal-clear Sava and Soča rivers and be mind-blown by amazing views as far as the eyes can reach.

During the 1-day climb from Krma valley to the top of Mount Triglav, you can challenge yourself with 20km of hiking on steep terrain. and 1950m of altitude difference.

In total, the climbing and via ferrata excursion takes 12 to 14 hours.

Course of events

- Meet your guide at the meeting point in Bled in the morning and drive to Krma valley.

- From there, you will start your 5-7 hours hike towards the Kredarica hut, where you will have the chance to enjoy the amazing view of the sunrise along the way.

- You will continue to the hut called Triglavski dom, where you can have a short pause and a snack. Here you will put on your via ferrata equipment and undergo a safety briefing. 

- After about 2 hours you will reach the summit of Mount Triglav, which invites you to soak in its incredible panoramic views.

- Once you have enjoyed the stunning scene

- Once you have enjoyed the stunning scenery, you will start your 6-8-hour long descent back to the Krma valley, from where you will drive back to Bled.

Special terms

This climb is very demanding, so it is recommended that you are physically fit enough to be able to walk approximately 12-14 hours in a row.

Choose this 2-day climbing experience with a difficulty level of 2/5 if you are moderately physically fit, enjoy sports, hiking and stunning mountain views.

Course of events

The tour will take two days of approximately 8h of hiking per day.

1st day:

- Meet your mountain guide in Bled and drive about 30 minutes to Krma, one of the most approachable valley.

- From there, you will start your 5-7 hours hike towards the Kredarica hut, where you will stay during the night. Here you can have lunch, relax and soak in the amazing views.

2nd day:

- On your second day you will do the via ferrata from the Kredarica hut to the peak of Mount Triglav. You will need about 3 hours to get to the top and back. 

- Upon getting back, you can expect anothe

- Upon getting back, you can expect another 6 hours of hiking to the parking spot in Krma valley, from where you will drive back to Bled.

Activity requirements

Accommodation in the hut is not included (that's around 60€ for a night, with dinner and breakfast included).
