Canyoning is an activity that perfectly combines the pleasure of being in a mountain and the adrenaline of water sports. Jumps into pools, natural water slides, and abseils attract many outdoor enthusiasts each year. One of the reasons for its fast growth is that anyone can practice it since everyone regardless of age can take part.
Navedo is a village in Picos de Europa enclosed between mountains. The Rio Navedo crosses it through a ravine thus giving the canyon its name. Later on, the Navedo River meets the Deva River in the middle of Europe's greatest ravine: La Hermida. The canyon is 10 minutes from the meeting point in Panes.
We can assure you that Navedo is without any doubt, the best ravine in the Asturias region: safe, exciting, and fun like no other! The area's beauty can be understood when you reach the 25 m.-waterfall which you'll descend abseiling! After two hours of making your way through the ravine, countless slides, small jumps, and detours, you'll reach a very wide and deep pool. Get ready to jump if you have the courage to climb a ledge located six meters high!
