Activity description

Explore the most beautiful canyon in Sierra de las Nieves on this canyoning excursion of Zarzalones Gorge, less than an hour away from Malaga. You will spend an awesome day!

Considered by many as the most beautiful canyon in Malaga, the Zarzalones canyon is filled with jumps, abseiling drops and natural slides that the water has carved over the years.

The Zarzalones canyon is located in the town of Yunquera, 1 hour far away from Malaga city center. This little but beautiful town is right in the heart of the Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park. The water inside the Zarzalones canyon is rather cold and crystal clear. This is due to its origin, the Zarzalones caves, which has been studied for quite some time because of its particularity. Right in the entrance to this cave is where your canyoning excursion will begin.

The descent of the Zarzalones canyon is amazing. Lots of fun and lots of water is what you can expect from this canyon. Thanks to the constant flow of water out of the cave, the Zarzalones canyon has a flow of water even in summer.  This is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful canyons in Malaga.

While descending the canyon, you'll encounter jumps from 2 to 4 meters (all optional) and abseils of up to 27 meters which you will not be able to avoid! Carved pathways and natural waterslides complement the offer!

This guided canyoning tour was amazing! We learned to repel down the Canyon, waded and floated down the river, and got to jump of ledges into the river. Absolutely beautiful location. We loved this experience and would 100% do it again.

Herfra dropper du i floden.
