Activity description
Fancy a cool SUP adventure to relax in a natural water environment? Then head to the Aare for a few hours of Stand Up Paddling!
This SUP experience will give you a great memory of peace and tranquillity on the water. You let the current take you and paddle at your own pace to cross the river.
Don't worry if you've never tried SUP before, the instructors from Aareschlauchboot will teach you the technique before you go out on the water on your own. In just a few minutes you'll have mastered the position and technique to paddle efficiently and be ready to go!
You get in at Uttigen near Thun and follow the current of the Aare for 18 kilometres to Wabern near Bern, at Camping Eichholz, where you return your equipment. The best way to get to Uttigen is by train, as the water base is right next to the station.
You decide how fast you want to go, and you can have a picnic by the water and relax in the sun.... good life ahead!
You can choose any time for your rental and enjoy a refreshing moment.
All equipments must be returned in Bern at 6pm maximum.
Activity requirements
Participants must know how to swim.
Special terms
To return, simply disembark from the boat upon arrival, where someone will be present to assist you and provide guidance. Alternatively, you have the following options:
- Take a scenic walk of approximately 30 minutes to Bern Train Station. From there, you can board a train directly to the office located at Uttigen train station.
- If you prefer, you can extend your swim a bit further and then proceed with a 10-minute walk to reach the train station. This option combines a 10-minute swim followed by a 10-minute walk, leading you back to either Bern or Interlaken.
- Another possibility is to walk a short distance to Tram Station Wabern, which only takes a couple of minutes. The tram will then transport you to Bern Station.
