You will learn about the wind window (flyable area for the kite), and fly training kites and learn how to use your safety release. After mastering kite control and learning about kitesurfing kites and how they fly it's on to the setup of the larger L.E.I (leading edge inflatable) kites.
You will learn how to safely launch and land your kite surfing kite, what to to in an emergency situation and you will also learn all the safety features on the control bar. i.e. quick release and safety mechanisms.
For the next part of the lesson you will put on neoprene wetsuits and hit the water! You will learn to use the kite to pull you through the water, (this is called body dragging!) and it is an essential method of getting back to your board in deep water whilst kitesurfing.
You'll finish with packing up of the kites and equipment and a debrief of the key points covered over the course of the day.
Day 2: Becoming a kitesurfer

You'll start the day by quickly recapping the key points of the previous kite surfing lesson, then you will set up your kites and get in to the water for a quick body dragging session. Once you have a feel for the kite again, your instructor will go through some board theory, rights of way and safety aspects, then its your turn to try some board starts!
Your instructor aims to hone your board start technique, so you can confidently dive the kite, generating the power needed to get up on the board. On day 2 you will really start to gather all the aspects of kitesurfing together. Throughout the day you'll be taught kite etiquette and you'll be given all the tips and tricks you need to become a REAL KITEBOARDER!
