Acumpanyat Cauterets

Joel has been working as a freelance mountain guide for 20 years. This sports fan masterizes many mountain activities: mountaineering, ski touring, ice climbing, canyoning, rock climbing etc.

Joel first created Acumpanyat in 2013 to keep on sharing great experiences with his friends. Today, his school has kept this initial state of mind with great personnalities and a super friendly atmosphere among the team.

The school offers a wide range of activities: canyoning, speleology, ski touring and night outings. The choice is yours! 
Their favorite area is nothing but Les Pyrénées, in the broadest sense of the term: North slope, South slope, Spain, the Atlantic side, the Mediterranean side but still focused on the central part of the mountain range i.e Béarn, Bigorre, Ordesa...

Mountains all year round, smiles all day long, sharing is all we need!

What about Acumpanyat?
First, it's a group of friends who work and live closely. 
Their common ambition is that every moment they spend up there in the mountains brings happiness, laughs, well-being and simplicity.

Then, they share a certain approach of the mountains, through the prism of human bonds above all, and beyond the walking part, they focus on people and encounters, in a noble way. 

These little trivial moments which actually matter... a little anecdote after a shared moment up there, the simple and pure joy of running into a Pyrenean chamois or into a gentian, the pleasure of enjoying - even for a brief moment - the flight of a bearded vulture or the singing of a chickadee. Finally, the fantastic feeling of relaxing in the most amazing scenery and of sharing a special moment around a drink, a pie or some delicious grilled meat.

... These shared efforts, from the softest to the most intense, make climbing not only an objective but also a way to live and share a wonderful moment.
