Excursion en bateau avec snorkeling à Nea Makri, à l'est d'Athènes

Snorkeling was so much fun, we got to see lots of things including sea urchins, octopus, and lots of smaller fish.

Snorkelling - what a wonderful trip- the instructor was friendly and helpful but also let you do what you wanted, he guided us to see some amazing wildlife and all in all it was a 10/10 day.

Snorkeling in Nea Makri. This was a fantastic activity. The weather took a turn for the worse, after we arrived in Nea Makri, so it was not safe to go out on the boat. Dimitris offered us a full refund, or to tailor the activity to suit the weather and at a reduced cost. We chose the latter. Dimitris drove us to a beach, where we snorkeled for 2-3 hours close to the shore. 3 of our family of 4 had never snorkeled before and we absolutely loved it. It opened to us, a window into the underwater world - I will never look out to sea again without thinking about the wonderful world that lies beneath. Dimitris is a true professional - he is also very patient, and despite us being total beginners, we felt totally safe, with his obvious wide knowledge and experience about the area and snorkeling. He joined us in snorkeling, giving us so much information about the animals and plants under water. He is also full of local historical knowledge about an area where the Marathon race originated and on the way back from the beach he drove us via the site of The Trophy of the Marathon victory of the Greeks over the Persians which was hugely interesting. I cannot recommend Dimitris and Kanelakis Diving Experience highly enough. The snorkeling trip was the absolute highlight of our holiday in Greece.

This was a great activity, I’m very glad I did it. The sea was beautiful, the boat was fun, and the guide really knew his stuff. I got a sunburn on my back, so make sure you get 50 spf, I only had 35. Highly recommended.

I booked the 4-hour snorkeling trip out for my first time snorkeling and was grouped with two American travelers who were also first-timers. I arrived at the centre and was quickly prepped with everything needed. This included the mask and flippers, but also a wet suit which neither of us had expected - a nice bonus! Heading out on the boat we all had a chat about what we would expect as well as tips on how to dive, before setting off and going in ourselves. The two locations picked out for snorkeling were fantastic, and very different from one another. The first location was a deep reef full of life and colour, the second a shallower sandy beach with a number of sea grass patches. The boat trip was certainly a lot of fun! Getting around by sea in Greece is commonplace and riding the inflatable motorboat added that extra bit of life to our trip. Biscuits and bottled water was also provided as we took short breaks between swimming. In all, the four hour trip lasted five-hours, as well as offers to drive us to the centre of Nea Makri, so of couse we left an extra tip.

The whole experience was great! I really enjoyed day with my partner and Dimitris
