Set sail to Milos, stopping by Kleftiko and Sykia cave for some swimming and snorkeling in the crystal emerald green waters of the Aegean Sea. A 9-hour semi-private sailing tour where you can simply relax, eat a delicious homemade meal, drink cold beers or ouzo and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
In a nutshell
A one-way direction cruise, covering half of Milos and making 4 stops for swimming and snorkeling at the most beautiful spots on the island. You will do some sightseeing, relax with some music on the hammock, have a few drinks, eat Greek homemade food and learn about the history and the myths of the island.
What to expect
Your sailing adventure will start at 10 am in Adamas. You will pass by the first Christian catacombs and the colorful villages of Skinopi and Klima, the ancient capital of Milos, where Venus of Milo was found, as well as Areti and Fourkovouni.
You will reach “Arkoudes” (meaning bears in Greek), the imposing bear-shaped rocks. Later you will arrive at Cape Vani, the western entrance to the first mineral mines of Milos dating back to the 19th century. You first swim stop will be in Kalogries, where you will eat fresh fruit, cakes and have some refreshments.
The biggest cave of Milos, Sykia, is further down the road. You will stop nearby at a bay that used to be a volcano crater. After your swim, you will use the motorboat to visit the cave. Inside the cave awaits you a surprise: a salt lake, a secluded beach, and a collapsed roof create a magical scenery.
Upon your return to the boat, you will have some ouzo and some Greek mezedes, before departing for Kleftiko, one of the hiding places pirates used in the Middle Ages. Kleftiko is considered as one of the most beautiful places to visit while in Milos, and snorkeling there is highly recommended.
Before your last stop you will treat yourself with refreshments and cold beers, followed by a meal and dessert. You will then take the dinghy for some kleftiko caves exploration. Last stop: Gerakas, also known as “ammotsoulithres”, meaning sand slides in Greek. You will understand why. Swimming and back to the boat for some fruit.
Finally, you will reach Provatas at 7 pm. From there, a private transfer is arranged to take you back to Adamas (and it is included in the price).
