Overall, the canyoning experience in Purcaraccia was really great and something I would definitely do again. The canyon itself was quite sporty and more challenging than I expected. While there were no huge jumps (the highest ones were around four meters), many of them required precise landings, which made them exciting. The natural slides were also a lot of fun and added to the adventure. I had previously done two canyoning tours in Austria, which were much more relaxed. This one was significantly more athletic, but in a positive way. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, and I would highly recommend this canyon to anyone who enjoys physical activity and outdoor adventures. The hike should not be underestimated either. You hike uphill for about 1.5 hours carrying a water backpack while wearing your swimwear, and afterwards there is another 30–45 minutes of walking back down. Bringing a GoPro is a good idea—you can easily store it in the backpack whenever you need both hands free. The biggest negative point was the lack of toilet facilities at the meeting point. We had a 2.5-hour drive to get there and naturally needed a restroom before starting. Since check-in and equipment distribution take place there, I expected basic facilities to be available. Unfortunately, the organizer does not provide a toilet. The guide simply suggested using the surrounding forest, which I found unacceptable—especially for women, who often have even fewer practical and private options in such situations. We eventually had to use a toilet near the parking area, but first we had to find the caretaker’s hut and ask for a key. This delayed us and caused us to arrive slightly late for the official start. The guide seemed annoyed by the delay, but this situation could easily be avoided if the organizer provided at least one toilet for guests. In my opinion, that is the absolute minimum that should be expected. Conclusion: An excellent and beautiful canyoning experience with a sporty and rewarding route that I can highly recommend to active people. However, the lack of proper restroom facilities at the starting point was a significant inconvenience and should be addressed by the organizer. Despite that, the adventure itself was fantastic and well worth doing.

C'était une première pour nous et nous avons adoré ! Les guides étaient au top et le parcours était super ludique avec beaucoup d'opportunités (si on le souhaite) de sauter, des toboggans, tout ça dans un cadre 100% naturel, c'était magnifique.

Superbe activité. Une 1re expérience à reconduire !
