Join this full-day excursion from Zakynthos to explore popular sites such as Shipwreck Beach and the Blue Caves. All ages are welcome on this family-friendly experience!

This tour takes place in Zakynthos, where you will visit some of the most famous destinations on the northern side of the island. Zakynthos, also known as Zante, is part of the Ionian Islands archipelago, located off the western coast of mainland Greece. It is known for its beautiful landscapes, sandy beaches and turquoise waters!

This is a full-day tour which starts early in the morning, to avoid crowded locations. You will begin with either arriving directly at the meeting point, or being picked up from your specified location in Zakynthos. You will meet your experienced guide, who will accompany you throughout the trip and show you all the famous sites of Zakynthos! The group is small to ensure a unique and personalised experience.

To begin, you will travel by minibus to Bochali Hill, which offers amazing panoramic views of Zakynthos and the Navagio Beach below. From this viewpoint, you will have an excellent view of the iconic shipwreck, crystalline waters, steep limestone formations, and the white beach. From there, you will head to Porto Vromi in Maries to board a medium-sized boat (maximum capacity of 15-25 passengers) and cruise to Navagio Shipwreck Beach.

Navagio Beach is one of the most famous and iconic beaches in Greece. The beach gets its alternative name, Shipwreck Beach, from the wreck of a ship called the MV Panagiotis. The ship, which was allegedly involved in smuggling activities, ran aground on the beach in 1980, creating a picturesque scene. The rusty remains of the ship lie on the white sandy beach, adding to the unique charm of the location. After capturing some photos of this historic site, you will travel on the boat to the Blue Caves.

At the Blue Caves, you can jump off the boat into the crystal-clear waters. You'll get up close to the magnificent caves and swim through them. Feel free to bring your own snorkelling equipment if you would like to explore the underwater formations and fish as well! After enjoying your swim, it's time for lunch. The guide will bring you to a beautiful traditional Greek restaurant, located in the mountain taverns in the village of Anafonitria. This is a family-friendly setting where you are free to purchase your own food items from the menu.

After lunch, you will visit the famous 2,000-year-old olive tree located in the village of Exo Xora in Zakynthos. It is one of the seven oldest olive trees in the Mediterranean, and probably one of the oldest olive trees in the world. Here, you will learn more about the process of olive oil production from a local farmer, and you can even taste some of the oil!

The last stop of the tour is Xigia Beach, another notable destination on the island of Zakynthos. The beach is known for its unique sulfurous springs and is surrounded by impressive cliffs and rocky terrain, adding to the natural beauty of the area. You can take a swim in the seawater, which contains sulfur and collagen that are said to have healing properties. At the end of the day, the guide will drop you back at your original pick-up location.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to discover the most popular spots of Zakynthos from a local and knowledgable guide, hitting all the must-do attractions on your trip to this stunning Greek island!
