Guided by passion and success, Franky Zapata is now leading a new challenge in innovation and uniqueness for the future of the firm. After many hydro-propelled machines tests being held in 2011 and with the massive support of the public, the production and the worldwide marketing of the flyboard® is only limited by the quantity of units produced.
Since its market launch, more than a hobby, Flyboard® has become an entire sport in its own right, confirmed by of the organization of the first Flyboard® World Cup in Qatar 2012. A competition held every year and was last held in Dubai 2014, rocketing the Flyboard® and the Hoverboard by ZR® to become one of the leaders in the world of hydro-sports.
New extreme sport is taking the world by storm.
Flyboarding combines the physical attributes of an array of popular sports activities including jet skiing, water skiing and wake boarding, skiing and snowboarding and acrobatic diving. Whilst many of these activities can take a substantial amount of time to become skilled at, Flyboarding is very intuitive: it’s like learning to walk; it holds no limits to a person’s fitness level. It will generally take 5-10 minutes with an instructor to find your balance and start flying freely.
Standing upright on the Flyboard in the water all you need to do is straighten and lock your knees as the instructor throttles forward allowing propulsion for you to fly straight up. As soon a you are in the air, you can relax and enjoy the flight. A self manned flight can take you up to an hour to learn on your own, but allows for a superior flight experience. After a bit of practice you will be able to swim like a dolphin and challenge gravity like Iron Man
How fast can the FlyBoard travel above the water?
It is stated that you can fly upto 30Km per hour, however we believe 20Km per hour is more realistic.
How long does it take to learn to use the Flyboard?
From twenty minutes to about an hour, once you have found your balance. Then you will be able to take off from the water and enjoy your Flyboard for hours. You can start to learn tricks and dive in and out of the water just like a Dolphin.
How high can you fly?
You can fly up to six meters with a 150 Horsepower Jet Ski.
