Conditions
Whitewater rafting on the Zambezi River below the Victoria Falls has been classified by the British Canoe Union as Grade 5. This is a high volume, pool-drop river with a little-exposed rock in the rapids or in the pools below the rapids. If water levels are low, whitewater rafting may not be available in April and May. Please see rafting classification below:
Class IV: Intense, powerful but predictable rapids requiring precise boat handling in turbulent water.
Class V: Extremely long, obstructed, or very violent rapids which expose a paddler to added risk.
