Brim Explorer entstand aus einer Leidenschaft für das Meer. Während ihrer Arbeit im arktischen Meerestourismus erkannten die Mitbegründer der Brim Explorer, Agnes und Espen, die Herausforderungen, die sich durch umweltverschmutzende, laute und schlecht konzipierte Schiffe ergaben, die das Erlebnis der Gäste einschränkten und die Umwelt schädigten.

Mit einer Idee und engagierten Partnern machten sie sich daran, ein Schiff zu bauen, wie es die Welt noch nicht gesehen hat. Im März 2018 taten sich Agnes und Espen mit dem Designer Einar Hareide, der Werft Maritime Partner und einem Team von wagemutigen Zulieferern zusammen, um eine einzigartige Plattform für Meereserlebnisse zu bauen.

Eineinhalb Jahre später, mit dem ersten Schiff "Brim" und weiteren Schiffen, die noch folgen werden, kombiniert Brim Explorer innovative Klimatechnologie und Erfahrungen aus der Reisebranche, um Erlebnisse zu schaffen, die wirklich einzigartig und nachhaltig sind.

Brim" ist ein altnordisches Wort und bedeutet "brechende Welle". Und wie eine brechende Welle, die Energie und Veränderung mit sich bringt, ist es die Vision von Brim Explorer, die Art und Weise zu verändern, wie wir den Ozean erleben.

Durch die Schaffung von Erlebnissen, die uns den Ozean näher bringen, hoffen wir, dass unsere Gäste mit einem stärkeren Umweltverständnis und Engagement zurückbleiben, als sie es bei ihrer Ankunft hatten.

Wir bieten Meeresausflüge ohne Lärm und Umweltverschmutzung an Bord von leisen, hybrid-elektrischen Schiffen an, denn die epische, raue und ehrfurchtgebietende arktische Küste verdient es, von einem leisen, sauberen und komfortablen Schiff aus erlebt zu werden.

Fred and Carlos were both very good. Could use bigger/more video screens so everyone could see better. Also docking at the fishery took a very long time.

Une petite remarque....pour voir correctement les aurores boreales et les photographier une petite préparation serait bienvenue à l aller....tout le monde ne sait pas qu il faut des filtres spéciaux et qu à l oeil nu on ne voit qu un nuage blanc....c est un peu décevant. Un peu d aide pour les novices que nous sommes nous aurait permis d en profiter pleinement....

Nous avons été ravis et agréablement surprise de la passion et du respect que tout les membres d’équipage avaient pour la nature et le milieu maritime. Ici nous voyons des animaux exceptionnels dans leurs milieu naturel tout en respectant leurs territoires et leurs envie (pas de course aux baleines ou aux orques, si il veulent se rapprocher de vous c’est à eux de décider et non au bateau de manœuvrer pour en être le plus proche possible pour vos photos Instagram). Merci encore à toutes l’équipe pour leurs gentillesses.

The crew was great. The food in the café was good. Paperwork was required to be completed the night before and it was apparent that very few of the passengers completed it ahead of time so that was delaying us boarding the boat, so maybe those instructions need to be clear upon booking.

Nous avons vu orques et baleines de loin mais c est tout de même un bon moment, les bateaux coupés de leur moteur sur le spot rendent le moment sympa en revanche n imaginez pas être sans moteur pendant le voyage plusieurs membres fe l équipage parle français c est dommage que les conférences ne soient proposées qu en anglais !

Il y a avait beaucoup de français à bord ce soir là le personnel parlait aussi français ce qui est très appréciable qd notre Notre niveau d anglais est moyen, seul regret qu il n en ai pas profiter pour doubler les explications en français ça aurait été un plus pour nous!!

Sam, our guide, was a marine biologist who was funny, energetic and thoroughly knowledges in these animals. We got a humpback right in the side of the boat and it was almost more exciting to see his excitement. The boat staff was polite and professional and the captain did a captain of a job! …especially being a little sneaky with those silent motors.
