Are you searching for a unique outdoor adventure? Look no further! Stockholm archipelago offers the perfect scenery for a wilderness getaway! Paddle in paradise, enjoy some delicious meals, and camp in tents on smooth sun-warmed rock slabs.
You will meet your guide and group at Our Adventure Café and set off in our comfortable minivan for a short drive out to the archipelago. You'll meet our kayak guides who are local, qualified, and experienced. Once you're geared up, they will take time to run through some basic paddling techniques and safety information before you set off on your adventure!
Taking the time to enjoy a few days of kayaking in the archipelago will give you plenty of opportunities to perfect your paddling technique. However, it’s not all about paddling! The wildlife, rugged scenery, and serenity of kayaking in the archipelago will take your breath away!
You'll discover towering cliffs, narrow passageways, plenty of forests, and an abundance of wildlife, including moose, roe deer, fallow deer, and red foxes who live on the larger islands and during the summer months. In addition, white-tailed sea eagles, Canadian geese, eiders, loons, Arctic terns, ospreys, great cormorants, and other migratory birds can be seen all summer out in the archipelago. You may even get lucky and spot grey seals fishing in the water!
Your local expert guide has a wealth of knowledge on the surrounding flora and fauna, as well as the history of Stockholm, so there will be plenty to learn and discuss as you go. You will also be able to take a swim, do some fishing (maybe even catch something for dinner!) and enjoy a quieter pace of life with your fellow kayakers.
The tours do not follow a fixed route, your guide will take into consideration the weather, as well as the needs, desires, and abilities of the group. You will often paddle to the outer “skerries”, a true wilderness, and camp (in comfortable two-man tents) on uninhabited and remote islands. If you have always dreamed of sleeping under the stars, this is your opportunity!
Our guides endeavor to lunch and camp on a new island every time they take multiday tours out into the archipelago in order to minimize our environmental impact.
During your trip, delicious Swedish meals are freshly prepared and cooked on outdoor stoves. On the last day, you will arrive back in the Stockholm in the late afternoon.
On the first day, you will be welcomed in our Adventure Cafe by your kayak guide. After trying out the equipment, getting comfortable with your kayak, and having a short training session, the adventure begins!
On the last day, you will return to the city center in the late afternoon.
Activity requirements
All participants must be able to swim 200 metres, weigh less than 130 kgs.
Minimum height, 1.50 Meters, and maximum 1.95 meters.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Special terms
The minimum age is 16 years old and all kids and teenages should be accompagnied by an adult.
