Activity description

Kayaking is already a relaxing and peaceful experience, but what about kayaking with the seals of Gaspésie, in Forillon National Park?

That's what this kayaking activity in Gaspésie offers you! At a slow pace, you will paddle discreetly to observe the numerous grey and common seals that populate Forillon National Park. Sometimes curious or mischievous, these wide-eyed pinnipeds may come to say hello and even climb onto your kayak! The instructors who will accompany you are certified in good seal-watching practices by the Marine Mammal Observer Network, which guarantees you a respectful observation of these animals!

This kayaking activity with the seals of Gaspésie offers you the opportunity to explore the coast from Cap-aux-Os or Grande Gave beach, depending on your level and age. Accompanied by a professional guide accredited by Paddle Canada or Canoe-Kayak Quebec, you can enjoy the excursion in complete peace of mind! You will follow your instructor to the rocky islets where harbour seals usually rest. The whole kayak trip will be done at a leisurely pace, allowing you to contemplate the fauna and flora. If you choose the afternoon option, you will have the chance to experience this unusual activity at the most beautiful time of the day: sunset.

Forillon National Park is a sublime place where you can admire landscapes of sea, cliffs and mountains all at once. It is a place rich in flora and fauna, which is home not only to seals, but also to whales, beavers, black bears and various species of birds. In the heart of the Gaspé Peninsula, Forillon National Park takes its name from the peninsula on which it is located.

To live a different kayaking experience, in contact with the seals of Gaspésie, book our partner's activity in Forillon National Park!
