SSI Try Scuba Diving in Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote

Before you arrive at the dive center you will receive an email to complete the dive registration paperwork online, you can then set up an account with SSI where you can read all about the Try Scuba Dive. When you arrive at the dive centre you will kit up, and get with a mask, fins, and a wet suit. Once you have tried your equipment on, you'll realize that you're about to step into a world you never knew!

Next, you will receive a briefing all about scuba diving, including all about the dive you are about to go on, what will happen, and what type of fish you'll be able to see! Once in the water, you'll reach a depth in which you'll be waist deep and you'll practice breathing underwater until you're comfortable.

After getting used to breathing underwater, you'll go for the first dive exploring Playa Chica, a little bay that is perfect for your first time diving! The secrets the underwater world hides include much fish such as dam-selfish, parrot-fish, ornate wrasse and much more! The depth will gradually increase to a maximum of 5 metres, with our lovely clear water you will still be able to see the surface!

Your safety and enjoyment are our number 1 priority! We keep the groups small, usually with a maximum of 6 people with at least 2 instructors in the water.
