Discover the entire Gulf of Porto and its riches on a 3.5 hours boat trip!
It is in the company of a captain who is passionate about his region that this boat trip in the Gulf of Porto takes place, to discover the most beautiful sites of this gulf north of Piana. On board a comfortable 10 meters boat, you will set sail from the port of Porto, hamlet of Ota, and first go to the Scandola Nature Reserve and the Bay of Elbo to discover its preserved landscapes.
The next part of this boat trip in the Gulf of Porto will be spent in the village of Girolata where you will enjoy a 30 minutes stopover, then at Capo Rosso where you will have the opportunity to swim if the weather conditions allow it. The return to Porto will be along the Calanques de Piana, with the captain manoeuvring the boat inside the caves to allow you to discover them up close.
If you are lucky, you may even come across dolphins during your boat trip in the Gulf of Porto! Between sumptuous landscapes, nice anecdotes and relaxing moments, this Corsican experience is not to be missed if you are in Porto and Piana!
Boat trip to the Scandola Nature Reserve and Girolata of 3.5 hours with several possible departures:
- Departure in the morning to enjoy the calm of the Gulf of Porto, also the ideal time for dolphin watching;
- Departure in the early afternoon, ideal for people coming from outside Porto (Ajaccio, Calvi, Cargèse, Piana, L'Île-Rousse, etc.) as it does not start too early and does not end too late;
- Departure at the end of the afternoon, ideal to enjoy the first signs of the sunset.
Course of events
- Meeting point at the small port of Porto to embark
- Beginning of the 3.5 hours boat trip to discover in order the Scandola Nature Reserve, the caves and faults of the Bay of Elbo, the village of Girolata with a 30 minutes stopover, the Capo Rosso where a bathing break in a natural swimming pool will be in order if the weather allows it, and finally the Calanques de Piana
- Return to the port of Porto and end of the activity
