Activity description

On a Jeep Safari adventure tour in Crete, feel the rush of off-road self-driving. Each vehicle can hold up to four passengers and provides breathtaking views of the island's native plant and animal life. Our professionals will give you thorough instructions on how to safely operate the vehicles before you start this exciting excursion, including courses for beginners.

Drive to Krasi, one of Crete's most emblematic villages, to begin your day. Take a stroll through its lanes to witness Crete's oldest plane tree, a UNESCO-recognized natural landmark that could be as old as 2000 years. After passing through the area's biggest village, Mochos, you will next descend off-road to the village of Potamies, where you will stop by a local shepherd's farm and sample his fresh cheese. Participate in tasks like feeding animals and milking goats.

Then, as you approach the Aposelemis Dam, you will see the submerged village of Sfentyli in the waters of Crete's most significant water project. Along the way, you will have to cross the river and pass through village gardens filled with the scents of orange and olive trees. Get ready for a spectacular and exciting off-road climb to the Empassa Gorge, where we will pause in the great outdoors to enjoy a coffee and a treat, snap some pictures, and gather fresh herbs. The Holy Monastery of the Virgin Mary is another place you can go to Kera village.

Finally, you will descend to Malia where you will enjoy a delectable barbecue lunch after driving on the area's most impressive panoramic road. You will be taken back to your lodgings after this thrilling self-drive Jeep Safari excursion, having experienced the raw and adventurous side of Crete on this guided self-driving Jeep safari.
