Explore the biggest Croatian peninsula - Istria. Its charming sunny hills filled with vineyards and small hilltop villages will give you a breathtaking experience. After passing the popular city Rijeka, the mountain Učka - also referred to as the gates of Istria - and the charming hilltop villages Motovun and Grožnjan are welcoming you to your Istrian scenic flight and are inviting you to enjoy a magnificent air view.
On the western coast of Istria lays the town of Poreč - a town with green palm trees and colourful houses reflecting in the calm ocean and the beautiful lim valley right at the edge of a fjord. During your panoramic flight, you will have a stunning view of the lovely town of Rovinj surrounded by the blue Adriatic sea and of the impressive Brijuni Islands National Park, which leaves you speechless as you look at tropical-like forests, wide sand beaches and crystal-clear water. The famous town of Pula in the south of the Istrian peninsula rounds up your scenic flight by showing you the historic roman Arena and a wonderful beach-front city village from above.
This exciting excursion high in the sky in a Cessna 172 aircraft is an amazing adventure for everyone who likes to discover the mind-blowing beauty of the impressive Istrian peninsula from above all while soaking in breathtaking views.
Please note that this flight is a non-commercial cost-sharing flight which has fewer restrictions than commercial flights. As opposed to commercial airline passenger flights, the risk levels involved in General Aviation flights can be compared with risk levels found in road transportation in which you engage daily.
- You will take off from Grobnik airport and fly toward the city of Rijeka.
- After that, you will continue your flight over mountain Učka, the hilltop villages Motovun and Grožnjan.
- Heading towards the western coast of Istria, you will reach Poreč, Iim valley, Rovinj and the Brijuni Islands National Park.
- After visiting Pula in the south, you will head back via Labin and the south-eastern coast of Istria.
- You will be back at Grobnik airport 80 minutes after your departure.
