Go on an adventure underground for about 3 hours during a caving trip in the Vieux Mounoï cave in Signes!
In the heart of the Sainte-Baume Regional Natural Park between Marseille and Toulon, the Vieux Mounoï cave is a fun underground activity, ideal for cooling off in the middle of summer on the Provencal coast. Located north of Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer in the commune of Signes, this cave offers a perfect playground for discovering caving with family or friends, for about 3 hours of activity!
With a qualified instructor of Expénature to guide you in the Vieux Mounoï cave, also called Manon cave, you will discover the underground environment up to 40 meters deep through different activities related to caving. This includes orienteering in complete darkness, an impressive experience during which you will realise the incredible silence of the cave! You will also have to crawl to get around certain parts of the cave, your clothes perfectly protected with a caving overalls.
The temperature inside the Vieux Mounoï cave varies between 17 and 20°C in summer, so if you want to cool off inland north of Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer, this caving activity in Signes is just what you need!
- Welcome at the meeting point by the instructor and equipment
- Approach walk of about 20 minutes to the entrance of the cave
- Beginning of the underground exploration for about 3 hours with some activities specific to caving (finding your way without the help of the guide, finding your way in the dark, etc.)
- De-equipping at the exit of the cave and end of the activity

This activity is dependent on the weather and the opening periods of the national/regional parks: if the activity cannot take place due to the weather or the closure of the park where it takes place, you will be offered an alternative date or a refund.
